Somewhat true but the defense is not playing well which again ties back to the offensive problems but not completely.

+2

I've loved the tigers for 30+ years and God knows the last 9 have been great but we can't stay on the top for ever with the parity in college football today and I have to agree with Chicken that the impact of RP is greater that his one position would imply.

Anyway, we have a building year and hopefully we come back next year with a roar!

You can suck Chick's dick all day long. RP didn't play defense and would not have been the offensive playcaller.

You really think our QBs are why teams are slicing through our defense?

Yes......and no....

My grandma could have coached last years LSU team to a 2-loss record. if the criteria for getting to the BCS Title Game is going 11-2 in the regular season then I can think of about 119 DI coaches last year that could have led that LSU team to the BCS Title Game.

It was not a fluke because he did a piss poor job last year. He beat an OSU team that was lucky to get there because everyone else lost....and yes I am saying this as an OSU fan.

Miles will not be at LSU in 5-6 years.

Obviously - duh.

Miles is a dud - a $4 million dollar dud that's going to keep on losing.

Last year Miles luck on 4th down is what got LSU to the championship - luck changes - real Champions don't.

Look at Florida! 4 losses last year, one being to a horrible Michigan team and now look at them this year. Im sure UF fans were not screaming to fire Meyer after one off year! You people are fricking amazing... Always gotta bash somebody and think you could do a much better job!

His coaching really wasn't that great last year. We did lose two games we shouldn't have.

It was just a fluke year that allowed a two loss team into the BCSCG.

Yeah, Miles is an average coach.

Meaning, did Les Miles get extremely lucky, and end up looking like a lot better coach than he actually is?

The SEC was down.

It's called parity. You can't claim parity for last season and not this season.

We are dealing with the effects of having a star Junior QB kicked off the team. We are playing two QB's that should not have been playing until 2009, maybe 2010.

This isn't Miles' fault. RP has set the program back a year.
100% accurate.

The implication is that the loss of the quarterback affected the whole team, including the D. I still believe that is true.

That said, I am disappointed in the D and was last year as well. Many of the problems with the D were here last year, its just that we could overcome those problems most of the time with our great offense. Offense could shift the momentum in our favor. Not so this year.

after the 4th loss this year, People are going to say that with LSU talent, anyone could coach them to the title

but people don't remember that we had 3 4 loss seasons with THE GREAT NICK SABAN. LSU will be fine and Miles has us bringing in the #1 recruit class so far coming next year.

lets just relax and take our lumps this year. florida had took their lumps last year and it's done wonders for them this year.

that's what I said about Brady for about 3 years too long.

I am NOT saying Brady = Miles, just saying that we should be careful about always wanting to wait and see what happens next year.

Even with a loss, any one of Saban's teams never were utterly embarassed consistently week in/week out as LSU has been. Defense at LSU right now is as foreign an idea as could be. It's so foreign, people are using left field ideas way out the park beyond the outfield fence to try to justify and explain around the coaching.

How many of Saban's teams have you seen dominated on the line as well? Maybe a couple, two or three games his whole tenure here...but never an entire season.
