AT THE TIME, relative to some of the names being thrown around, O'Sullivan, Corbin, Vitello, etc., Johnson was not viewed by many as THE homerun hire. I bet if you went back on this board to June of 2021 you would see mixed reactions. Most recognized he had won at Arizona, but they weren't fully on board with him being the "splash" hire they were hoping for. Obviously he has proved, thus far, he was the right man for the job.
