Police Absurdities

I'm sure people can add to this list but here's a quick list of dumb assed shite we literally ALLOW police to get away with.
1. "I smell something, gonna search your car(overwhelming majority of such searches yield nada)
2. "My dog that I TRAINED "hit" on your car. And of course, this will come after I illegally lengthen a normal traffic stop to allow the canine time to show up. Canines have been repeatedly shown to be no better than random in actual real world practice.
3. "You were making furtive movements when I pulled you over gonna search your car". (Yeah, getting my insurance dumb arse".
4. "Some anonymous person called therefore, we can now detain you until you prove to us we have no reason to detain you. I mean, sure. WE didn't actually see you doing anything. But that anonymous person!!!!!"
5. "Yes, I know I don't actually have a warrant but, you fricked up and opened your door so, I'm gonna stick my foot in the doorway and refuse to pull it out. I'll just stand here and harass you until I'm bored and if you try to close the door for my illegal behavior, I'l arrest you for assaulting a police officer". (EDIT TO ADD)....I forgot to add........."And don't you make the mistake of saying fine and trying to just leave me at the door as you go back in the house. Because THEN, even without a warrant, I'll say I "feared he might go get a gun" and rush into the house, tackle you and arrest you. Basically, the cops will use the fact you fricked up and opened the door to now effectively "detain" you at the door.
6. "I know that when a person gets tased, they tend to jerk around, but I'm still going to tell them that if they keep moving, I'll tase them again!!!!"
7. "Oh, I don't actually know the law but I'm not going to debate it with you here. If you don't like it, tell it to the judge after I tie you up, kidnap you and throw in a cage for a few days. And LOL. If they dismiss the charges, no one is gonna say jack shite to me!!"
8. No Knock Raids
9. Road Piracy that has nothing to do with traffic safety.
10. Pretextual Stops
Ten is good for now. There really could be 100.

I came soo close to brake checking a city cop doing this one time. He was so close to me I couldn’t see his headlights in my rear view mirror. I was going to scream in pain, make sure his cameras picked up me yelling “you slammed in the back of me!! Did you not see that huge deer?! “, get my ambulance ride to the hospital, and sue the department.
I became that pissed over the length of an eighth of a mile that happened. Of course I “got too close to the yellow line” after that long and got the blue lights. Got a flash light ran through the car, a license check, and a disappointed cop that didn’t get a DUI from a person that was just going home from working late.

You CAN roll up your windows and when you exit the car… lock your doors and then refuse the search. You can then assert your rights against unlawful searches.
He will threaten, cuss, fuss, bargain, threaten some more, and make you sit there, but they most assuredly are not go to a judge to get a warrant to search your car over over the “I thought I smelt ______ “ while you are on the side of the highway.

While I'm glad you agree with one, which one is telling. OF COURSE, in today's day, most conservatives will grant this one because we see it as affecting us directly in many recent situations.
But make no mistake. The others are just as bad and police aren't remotely accountable for them.
Heck, the "I smell something" one is an easy one. There are cops out there who have records where less than 10% of their "I smell something" searches turn up anything.
Even if I pretend that the officer isn't obviously lying(he is), then if I'm in charge of him I'm gonna tell him, "look Bill Bob, clearly your sniffer ain't qualified to justify a search". But does that happen? Nope. NEVER!
In fact, when that cop does find something illegal by luck, the courts will still call his sniffer a valid reason to do the search in the first place.

Cops go to the wrong address and shoot innocent homeowners...
Establishment conservatives will still yell "back tha blew!!". So long as they don't have Ron or Jeb's dick in their mouth. Desantis allowed cops to run amok in the state with unconstitutional covid mandates. Anyone who blindly supports law enforcement is not a conservative. A true conservative believes in limited government. That includes agents of the government.

Yet not only does it happen, it happens a lot!
And I don't mean, "bad address given by informant" shite. I mean, literally, they were told to go to 104 and somehow end up busting in 106.
To even make such a mistake shows a complete disregard for the public. In my view, such mistakes happen because in the absence of REAL consequences, the police take way too big a "sorry my bad" attitude towards such frick ups.
There is a general attitude among cops that if you get arrested and it turns out to be a "whoops" and you get released, that it's no big deal. Like, "why are you bitching, it turned out OK".

I have been pulled over hand full of times, never ticketed, and never had to play the, my dad's a cop deal either.

Cops showed up to the wrong address and shot a deaf senior citizen when he didn't immediately follow their orders. Go frick yourself. And your dad too. I'm sure he did a lot of illegal things during his time as a cop. "Just following orders" wasn't an excuse after WW2 and it isn't an excuse now. Cops who enforced covid mandates should be hanged.

Your response is frankly, the problem among my fellow conservatives. Most assume that anyone who has an issue with policing is basically ANTIFA. Well, frick liberals. They think cops wake up every day trying to find a brown person to kill.
