Don’t buy a lawnmower that doesn’t start. Especially true when you don’t know much about lawnmower maintenance.

Yes, I've bought several used things off LetGo or OfferUp it's called now maybe. $2,000 TV's for $600 and same deal for a laptop and I always make them show it work. If it doesn't, I don't F with it. Way too many little intricacies go into making these products work that anything but 100% is 0% to me. Although that laptop held 0 charge and had to be plugged in to work at all, but I could make that work.

Possession is 9/10 of rhe law. And now the seller possesses 10/10 of your payment. And you possess a POS lump of shite.

I bought a used mower for $700 once. Used it to cut some rental property and it last me 2 years of heavy use. I made him crank it and mow part of his yard before buying it and he delivered it for me!

So I send someone out that knows way more about lawn mowers than me to pick it up if all is well. Everything the guy says about what he had done to it checks out. So I purchased the lawn mower.

Sounds like a you problem. Buyer beware when purchasing used items.

I’ll give you a free piece of advice, never and I mean never buy any item where a seller says “it just needs a part”. If it just needed a part they would have fixed it themselves.

Not trying to shame the OP, but no way in hell is he capable of doing something like this when he had to rely on a friend to confirm a few easily confirmable issues on a used mower to begin with.

Soon as i saw Husqvarna, i would have ran the other way. Learned that with the POS chainsaws.

Couple years ago i sledge hammered a 20” pos chainsaw and put it out for trash —- my Katrina Husqvarna saw.

Didn't know this thread was still going. But a different mechanic was able to get it up and running. I ended up getting a steal. Been using it for a few weeks now.

I wish buying buying a broken lawn mower was the worst thing I’ve done. But yeh, that was absolutely an absolutely retarded decision.
