their lineup is weak moving forward as of now, i'd expect to see something impressive.

I'll never forget thinking something badass was about to get introduced years ago and then they talked about some cardboard robot kit

Man I’m not big into Nintendo properties outside Zelda but they are geniuses in the business aspects of the industry. The switch has sold what like 150 million copies and they continue to put out high quality well received games at top price because they never ever do sells. All this on what is really decade old hardware but why be rushed to innovate on that end when you print money like the US treasury? It’s quite impressive the niche they carved out

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope got a free demo and new DLC titled The Last Spark Hunter today.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince was announced. It releases on December 1.
HD versions of Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2 are now available on Nintendo Switch.
Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 comes to Nintendo Switch, with Konami also confirming that it will feature the NES Metal Gear games, previously released graphic novels, and more. It will be released on October 24.
Vampire Survivors comes to Nintendo Switch on August 17.
Rhythm battle royale Headbangers Rhythm Royale was announced and releases on October 31.
3D platformer Penny’s Big Breakaway was announced and will be released in early 2024.
Wave 5 over the Booster Course Pass will add the track Squeaky Clean Sprint and characters Petey Piranha, Wiggler, and Kamek to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe this summer.
Star Ocean The Second Story R, an HD-2D remake of Square Enix’s classic sci-fi RPG was announced with a November 2 release date.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Zelda and Ganon amiibo will be released during holiday 2023.

I'm not sure the visuals for the Super Mario RPG remake are an improvement, but the Star Ocean remake looks amazing.

That alone made the whole Direct worth it.
I know someone said it didn't really need a graphics upgrade, but I think it gives the game a new feel to it, gives me a reason to play it again and probably attract new fans that might not even known about the game previously

just get an OLED, nintendo is in no rush to push out a new console because the switch is still selling well
