Yep, wait til the end of the season and you can get them for around $200 from Walmart.
Ease of use of a pellet, closer taste to offset, and a damn good deal if you wait for the closeout pricing.

To the poster worried about charcoal use, I fill the hopper in the morning and it's not a full bag. The only cook I am required to add more on is a packer brisket. Everything else finishes before I need to add. I also layer wood in with the charcoal and drop a couple large chunks in the ash bucket.
Mine came with the griddle, but I never use it on the Masterbuilt. I found that it almost perfectly fits on my Weber gas grill, and that is so much easier that the steps on the Masterbuilt.
