Why does the ball not travel as far in less humidity when it travels miles in 100% thickness of humidity walls in the south?

The reason has to do with the weight of gaseous molecules in the air. As air becomes more humid, it holds more water molecules. That gaseous water vapor is really light, and it displaces heavier gases like nitrogen and oxygen.
By kicking out those heavy gases, the air density goes down. Air density is a measure of molecules in a given amount of space. If air has higher density, it’s harder for the ball to go through it. There’s more drag.

Most of the high humidity areas are at really low elevation and low humidity areas tend to be at higher elevation…and we all know that the ball travels further at higher elevation. So the question is..which came first, the elevation or humidity?

These pre-Omaha threads are giving the off-season threads a run for their money in the stupid department

to a certain extent the humidity softens the ball and adds to the "trampoline effect" coming off the bat.
but like everything else, there is a point where this kolonger helps.
Too Humid and the air becomes to thick and restrictive limiting the flight of the ball.
Too dry and while the air creates less friction, the ball doesn't have that "bounce" coming off the bat.
