Herb, Naji and 14 for 3
Gives Portland 2 guys on minimum deals that can help them win to help their inflated cap.
I still like my proposal before of:
Blazers: Ingram,#14
Hornets: Simons,#3
Pels: Sharpe, #2, #27
Leaves us with a huge trade exception where we can flip 27 and take on someone like John Collins and still stay below the tax.

You'd have to trade with charlotte for 2 if you want scoot. I don't believe any of the smoke that they're gonna draft brandon miller. Reminds me of all the misdirection smoke from orlando last year only for them to shock everyone and take paolo

If its BI than trade Zion too. BI is the leader of the team. If we trade him, then we should just start over.

I'm calling it now. No it isn't. Look at Griff's history. He big game hunts every year and all he winds up doing is being used as leverage by others and over paying for scraps. He usually has unrealistic expectations, like thinking he could get Horford with only a 3 year deal, or thinking any of the PGs that turned him down 2 summers ago would have chosen the Pels when they were being pursued by more established playoff teams.
This will be no different. He's probably trying to trade Dyson and all of the picks instead of what he would need to offer, which would be BI.

That wouldn’t stop me from making the deal, if Herb was the make or break to it i would reluctantly throw him in, but I would ask for 3-4 2nds back from Portland to rebalance the trade (they have a bunch)

I don't think shams would be reporting this if a deal wasn't close. Charlotte and Portland have taken dozens of calls for these picks already and those don't get reported. There's a reason shams is reporting this.

this doesn't happen without giving up one of trey BI or zion along with 14 and probably 1-2 other 1sts

BI + 14 for Simons + 3 is what i would do with portland but only on draft night after charlotte has picked brandon miller which i still don't believe they'll do

We're too far out for that. 10 days out this is still the posturing phase of leaks. Shams said 2 important things. "The Pelicans are among teams seriously pursuing that #2 overall pick" He also made it clear that the Pels wanted Scoot. There has been a lot of speculation that Scoot would fall to 3 because Charlotte likes Miller. This seems very much like a leak by Charlotte to say "Any teams wanting Scoot should talk to us, not Portland."
I'm sure they would love a 3 team deal like has been outlined here where they still get the better fit in Miller and another good player/asset instead of just taking Miller at 2.
