OK, its pretty much become unanimous that Tiger fans would like to hear about a new Defensive Coordinator coming in by the end of the year.......especially if it could help us out in the recruiting dept. by swaying some recruits before NSD.

My question is ( and please, I'm being serious, so don't reply with answers like Saban, Pelini, or Muschamp ), who would you like to see, that is a legitimate possibility, come in and take over the Tiger defense?

An additional question would be, has anyone heard that a search has been started by Miles or that there are any defensive gurus that are interested, or are beginning to be seriously considered for the position?

Lets start looking toward the future and talk about what defensive mind will be able to utilize these beasts that we're going to have on defense. I mean, what D-Co wouldn't want to work with this future defensive force?

DT - Chris Davenport, Lazarius Levingston
DT - Josh Downs/ Kentravis Aubrey, Drake Edwards
DE - Akiem Hicks/ Chancey Aghayere
DE - Micheal Brockers/Chase Clement

LB - Dexter Pratt, Ryan Baker ( Jones )
LB - Kevin Minter ( Bostic )
LB - Lamin Barrow, Barkevious Mingo ( Telfort )

DB - Craig Loston, Jai Eugene
DB - Janzen Jackson, Morris Claiborne
DB - Patrick Peterson, Phelon Jones
DB - Chad Jones, Karnell Hatcher

Greg Robinson/Dick Bumpas would be a good replacement with the way spread offense is shaping up around the SEC

Dick Bumpas!

We need to instill confidence in the players that the DCs know what they are doing.

Players are coming in late 10 games into the season- too much substitution

Plays are coming in late 10 games into the season

Players have remarked about they dont like the schemes being called or gameday preparations

Players do not like the soft defensive schemes

Players have remarked that the defensive line thinks one play is called while the LBs think another is being called thus more confusion

Their has been some people contacted about coaching at LSU next year. I can tell you the talk is we will have a new DL coach next year and a new DC. I don't have any names but I know the new DC is not on this staff. The current DC's will be reassigned and the DL coach will be let go. Their may be more changes but right now that is all I know of. Maybe we can get Orgeron to coach DL and get a good DC. Orgeron might get McFarland back, LSU is still where HE wants to go.
