Who remember the Colorado Silver Bullets, the all-female baseball team from the 90s?
i was talking about them in another thread about the female baseball player at ivy leaue school?
they would try to pump them up, and then you would watch the game, and these broads were playing locals from fire house, guys still in bar, and guys who played ball 27 years ago.
it was so bad

I think it could work but needs teams in major cities. I think reason it hasn’t sprung up as often as other women’s sports is the startup infrastructure costs are higher in softball since they can’t use existing facilities.
WNBA can use nba facilities
NWSL can use MLS
Softball can’t use baseball facilities. So would need to build their own. And the current best facilities are usually in college towns.

I remember my uncle Buck being a pitcher for a mens fastpitch softball team back in the early 1980’s. Tournaments would be held at ForestPark in Baton Rouge with about 15-20 teams. Don’t know if that still exists today ?

would venture a guess that the professional softball leagues out drew the WNBA.
