Covering aggregate patio surface?

The patio I just covered has a surface like the one below. We hate it for several reasons, one of which is, it's extremely uncomfortable for bare feet. Have any of you used a resin/epoxy type thing on these? The wife wants to brick it, but I do not want the higher level as it ties into the original concrete patio.

Is it in good shape? If you have the room you could always overlay with 2” concrete. Could also veneer over the top of it too

Concrete is probably not a bad idea.

Polymer modified concrete.

Could sandblast it to smooth it out. Once its smooth, if you don't like it, you could have a thin-set polymer installed over it that is only 3/8" thick Bomanite Thin-set

You can do a concrete overlay. We do overlays and then hit them with texture rollers while the material is still wet to leave a nice, stamped finish. They do real well over exposed aggregate. We primarily use butterfield overlay systems and have lots of success with those.

You could have it ground smooth polished

I love the order of operations on this patio renovation

Most projects seem to do the concrete before the roofing
I am working with the guy who plays drums for us to help me design a system. I really want the Sonos, but don't want to spring for the Sonos.

Just want to note "ground smooth" would be a safety hazard, he'd be slipping and sliding everywhere.
Brick would stull be rough on bare feet, fwiw...
