That will be answered tonight.

If Floyd is good and LSU wins, the decision to start Skenes yesterday will be an afterthought.

If Floyd gets shelled and LSU loses a game that they could have had Skenes on the mound, Johnson will get a lot of questions he won’t want to answer

It won’t be answered until Sunday. Floyd should be pitching on Sunday.

Unless of course LSU loses tonight but I don’t think they will.

congrats on your weight loss, Jake. I'm a little smaller, but I did get involved with MMA when my oldest took it for 10 years. Not so much for arse whipping purposes, more so to be involved with my son. I could guarantee that one and possibly both of us would end up in the hospital. At the age of 50, I would be more inclined just to pay someone to whip your arse. I would imagine I could easily find plenty of takers on that proposition right here on TD

We did come back and beat them twice in the championship round to advance. Pretty sure Ainsworth came back on short rest in the last game to help out.

We weren’t a great team that year but might have made the CWS had we been paired against anyone not named Bama. They stomped us in the supers iirc.

Throwing Skenes was the right call he had an extra days rest because of the Thursday start last week. Pitchers are creatures of habit you don’t wanna leave too much time from start to start. Skenes now will be back into a 7 day rotation for next week. Puts him starting game 1 against Kentucky at home on 7 days. JJ’s plan worked perfectly in that Skenes threw a complete game so the entire bullpen is available.

You wanna win in Omaha? You gotta win games without Skenes give your 2 and 3 guy some confidence by handing them the ball in a big spot today and tomorrow. It’s nut cutting time for every pitcher on the staff.

Tulane has been hot that means something in baseball you shut them down and shut them up in the regional with your biggest weapon if you see them again they’ll be depleted.

Your offense can take relaxed trips to the plate to start the weekend cause you’ve got captain super dick on the mound. That shite transfers this game is mental I think some dude named yogi said that shite. Any questions?

The ONLY baseball I give a shite about is LSU Baseball and that's it. (That's why I rarely comment on LSU baseball strategy and execution)

I want the Tigers to produce Championships in all Sports.

Given the resources at LSU, "Mediocrity" is unacceptable. (That includes the current "Not that Good" any longer GBFTL)

I'm far from a pussy, Jake. I just tend to make more practical choices in my older years. You say "weird flex", I say you're walking distance to a Sonic.

You exemplify the problem with liberals and pride supporters today. Can’t just discuss differing opinions. Shout, yell and call names.

This is so much more simple than most of you are making it out to be. This is likely just as much about NEXT week and that makes it a gamble. Johnson wants Skenes to have max rest to go deep into game 1 next week, and that means pitching him in game 1 this week. Taking game 1 in a super at home is what you want and would dial down the pressure on the rest of the staff.

I’m sure he’s hoping the rest of the staff does as well as they did last week in the SEC Tourney, where they really weren’t the problem they’ve been recently. If they play that well with us having the home field and the bats hopefully working better with runners in scoring position (they were yesterday), then it’s a smart gamble. But it won’t be proven the right call unless we win tonight and get out of this weekend. If we trip up and don't advance, Johnson will be criticized and deservedly so. I’m hoping it was the right call, but we’ll see.

I think Jay made the wrong choice, but there is more than one way to accomplish his goal. He can still accomplish his team goals regardless of the opinion of tigerdroppings.

Yerp it’s not a 3 day plan it’s not a 2 weekend plan it’s a month long plan. You’re basically at a 1 and done mentality from now until the last out of your last game.

Your second and third starters are gonna have to beat better teams than Oregon fricking state to win the CWS. Ya buncha numbnut know nothings.

Jake doesn't care enough for his fellow man to appreciate how much of an impact his hurtful words have on all of us. But, let's be fair, Liberals don't have a monopoly on the tactics you described. Shout, yell, call names. We see a lot of that on the right, my friend. But, let's not make this a political discussion. I just hope that with all of his recent successes (weight loss, Little League Championships), Jake can take some time to reflect on just how fortunate he is. And if he does, his outlook towards his fellow Rantards may change. Along with that tone.
