To be fair, there are things that Trump could do that Desantis wouldn’t because Trump doesn’t have to worry about re-election. Trump could go scorched earth on the FBI, CIA, ATF, DoE and IRS without any worry of it effecting his re-election. In the first 6mo, he could go in and begin massive firings at the heads of all those departments, hire new leadership and middle management, and then let them begin culling out the lower levels of those departments.
Now will Trump do that? I don’t know. He ran on locking up Hillary and as soon as he won, he backed off that 1 major promise. The fact that Trump and Desantis can’t work together on defeating the left worries me that 1 or both don’t truly understand the fight we are in. When you’re in the trenches taking fire, you put your petty bullshite aside and focus on winning the fight. When the fight is over and the enemy is soundly defeated, then go back to arguing your petty bullshite.

And it came to bite him square in the face. Which is a primary reason he's having to deal with this garbage now. That's 100% on him.

Feel zero sympathy for him on that front.

I’ve got to ask whether you think anyone is fighting selflessly on principle as opposed to personal power, prestige and enrichment at that level?
