The story really is stranger than fiction. It's kind of hard to even summarize everything they've touched on so far.
The adoptive father is so overly dramatic, it almost feels like he's acting. His ex-wife certainly seems like a piece of shite, but I'm not totally buying his version of events either.
He keeps insisting he's telling the truth and has nothing to hide, but then the hot mic picked up the private convo with his son, and they say something cryptic about deciding not to talk about the "kicking down the stairs".

Lying about what though?
The first psychiatric hospital confirmed she had full pubic hair, transferred her to the adult wing, where she started soliciting sex from adult patients. They played the audio clips.

No doubt she made up stuff, but I don't think Natalia's neighbors were lying about her odd behavior though.
Inappropriately touching kids, freely walking into people's apartments, and offering sex to an older dude in the laundry room is pretty crazy.

Oh no doubt Natalia has major issues.
IMhO the mom embellished, exaggerated, and flat out lied to save as much face as possible getting out of the adoption.

There’s definitely mental illness involved.
But she demonstrated some textbook signs of abuse.

I’m getting the same feeling watching this documentary that I got watching the one where the Mormon girl was kidnapped by the man her dad gave a hand-job to. So many red flags yet no one does anything about it. Night one in which the girl has pubic hair should have necessitated a medical exam at minimum. Also, when she hid that she was having a period, the mom made her tell her dad about that and filmed the conversation. That is weird as hell. It seems more like the sort of thing a mom would handle with the adoptee and then talk to the dad about in private without Natalia present. There are so many WTF moments in this documentary. Needless to say, the filmmakers did their job. I’m hooked.

I caught a few minutes of it last night on ID. I was reading my book though and didn’t pay it much attention. It did look interesting enough though that I think we may watch it on Max.

I believe everything they say about Natalia. I just believe the situation with the Adoptive mother is a situation where the adoptive mother has always had control and anger issues and what Natalia did just drove her to be the worst version of herself. Sometimes things can push you to the point of insanity and I believe that is what Natalia did.
I also believe she was likely in the 16-20 year old range when they first adopted her. Natalia appears to be a master manipulator.
