Our Mayor and police chief had a press conference touting the decline in murders the first 4 months of the year.
Keep in mind that the decline was from the 3 highest murder totals in the history of the city in 2020, 2021 and 2022
The current number is still well above the historical average.

The body was found at some apartment complex off of Wentling Ave.

Welcome to the leftist mindset. Unnecessarily destroy something. Then proudly, without a hint of self-awareness, “celebrate” slightly fixing the problem you created.
They are like a kid that gets a 23 F average for a semester who then proudly celebrates “improving” to a 46 F average the next semester. Both are still failing grades. But a lesser degree of failure is an “accomplishment”.
Then again, who am I to criticize? They may have a brilliant strategy. Set woefully low expectations so that any modicum of success seems like a tremendous accomplishment
