Between the pandemic and having a 2 year old the wife and I have only just started going back to concerts this year.
Guster at the Granada Theater was a good time and felt like any other show I'd been to at the venue.
The last two weekends though we went out to Starplex to see Dave Matthews and then Dead and Company. What the fricking frick is up w/beer prices there? Two 19.5 oz locally brewed Dallas Blondes were $44 after tip
Is this just the state of booze prices at venues run by Live Nation? I did not expect our alcohol tab to be so damn insane. I haven't felt that kicked in the crotch at a show over food and beverage since Woodstock '99.
PS Dead and Dave were both great. Anyone seeing them this year should expect a great show.

Going to agree with you 100%. Bought 3 Jack and Coke Singles at Toyota center in Houston…..$67
I honestly thought I misunderstood what he said at first.
I remember when $67 got me a concert ticket, a case of beer, a pint of whiskey, some herb and blow possibly
In other news….Get off my lawn I guess ??

I was at the House of Blues in New Orleans in April and got a look at the beer prices. A 16oz can of Bud was $17. I'm too cheap to drink anyway but I can't believe people need alcohol enough to pay those prices.

Starplex has always been expensive because it's City owned and they want to discourage people drinking. I generally only go to Venues like Grenada, Kessler, Dada etc and beer prices have gone up but not insane like Starplex. And kudos for calling it Starplex

No wonder people do drugs. It's cheaper.

Or slide a half-pint down by your nuts and pack it in with you.
Cokes are much cheaper.

Yep, that's a LiveNation venue for you. Same goes here for the Smoothie King Center, HOB and Fillmore. Just gouging people at the bar.

Dead & Co prices in ATL: 2019, beer prices were $18.50. Prices at last nights show was $22.50. I don’t drink as H2O was $8.50. These are your average prices today as concessions are high as giraffe pussy
