"President of his state"

In fact, more powerful in that state vs the President of the USA.

supporting a Gov who locked down his state. Put road blocks into his state. Told businesses to comply of he will send his grim reaper (his literal term) after them. Gave the authority to Dem mayors to arrest people and kept it all in place until summer of 2021!

These facts stand.

DeSantis increased the Fl budget. Try again.

With the governor potentially days away from announcing an expected run for president in 2024, legislators on Friday approved a record $117 billion spending plan that gives DeSantis another political springboard into the race.

Friday was the final day of the legislative session, and lawmakers assigned tens of millions of dollars to pursue DeSantis’ political goals — from reshaping New College of Florida to flying migrants around the country. They’re assigning millions more to fend off the inevitable lawsuits that will follow.

Feb 1, 2023 — DeSantis wants more than $700 million to provide 5% across the board pay increases for nearly 97,000 state workers.

2022?? The proposed increase in General Revenue spending is $2.7 billion (7.4%).

I mean.. I'm sure you will make a concession here ..... this time.

Private sector job growth in Florida was twice the national average average and has the lowed unemployment rate among the largest states. Florida has about a $14bn surplus and is expected to generate surpluses for the next 3 fiscal years. So sounds like good fiscal management to me coming through and out of COVID and I think a 5% bump to the state employees is reasonable.Sounds like Ron is lifting everyone's economic boat particularly given the inflationary spiral started by the spending under Trump and continued on by Biden

Try harder hack

DeSantis has been running surpluses, mostly record surpluses yearly.

That is what should be measured.
