I’ve been waiting on these words since early May when the thread was started and the subsequent 22 pages of recruiting talk.

LSU just visited Sarah strong again for a home visit
Koval is rumored to be nearing a decision. ND does make me nervous though as they attacked Koval from the academic angle which is supposedly really important to her and her mom.

Oh sh*t. Figured that would be their pitch.

Obviously, I'd want Stong to be the next commitment. It's all gravy after that, even if she is the one & only signee.
However, in a perfect world where wishes are granted, getting a 6-5 center to commit next would work as well, because then you could pair her up with either foward (Strong or Edwards) and it'd still make a dynamic combo.

Isn't Koval's oldest brother a grad student at LSU? If so, Koval's commitment makes a lot of sense to me...

Redus posted something to his Instagram story last night that said:
The future could be so bright, Best duo ever or nah?, with Baton Rouge, LA tagged.
Could that be referring to two of them?

Speaking of commits, last night I got to watch this video of our currently lone commit, Jada Richard in the state title matchup this past March.
Jada had 32 pts, shot 50% from the floor, 50% from 3, 100% from FT. Also had 6 rebs, 5 stl, and 5 ast. That’s a helluva championship performance.

I think it’s ND….
Strong is probably LSUs best bet but UConn gets the last visit
The class comes down to strong and Cambridge

Looks like she attends a Catholic School, and if the mother is academically driven…..hmmmhhh I think your hunch is probably correct. I do know she has a family member at LSU and that she is well connected to our staff….Mulkey may be our key, dunno.

Confident in this or is it just a feeling?

ESPN article: Ranking the top 10 girls recruits regardless of class ('24, '25 & '26)
Other Tiger targets of note:
No. 4 Kate Koval
No. 6 Joyce Edwards
No. 7 Aaliyah Chavez
No. 9 Jazzy Davidson
quote:
No. 1 Sarah Strong
Forward, 6-foot-2
Grace Academy Sanford (NC) | Team Lady Strong
Class: 2024
Strong heads into the fall as the No. 1 player in the 2024 class. She may be the most unique player in the country in terms of her versatility and skills. Powerful in the paint but with a feathery touch out to the 3-point line, Strong is comfortable all over the floor. She reads actions well, communicates the game on a high level, and makes teammates better with her patience, passing ability, and overall IQ. Her aggressiveness and overall game were on full display as she won the FIBA 3X3 U18 tournament recently in Hungary.
What can she add? Strong can add some technical aspects and discipline to her defensive game. "You are who you can guard" is a common phrase in basketball circles. She is fully capable, but to maximize versatility guarding perimeter players, and therefore perimeter actions, she needs some experience and consistency.
Pro Comparison: Alyssa Thomas + Rhyne Howard

Wow if we whiffed on both Strong and Koval. Ain’t gonna lie this will be disappointing .

No doubt. For 5 months, I've been intensely learning about each & every aspect of what these prospects could add to a program.
While it's understandable that every program is fighting for the same elite players, if we don't get one of them, it'll be a let-down, for sure.

Adding Van Lith gave the Tigers a replacement for Alex Morris, who was so important to the title run. Van Lith isn't the defender Morris was, but she will handle the ball, play hard all the time and, most importantly, make big shots.
When Morrow -- who averaged 23.5 points and 13.0 rebounds the last two seasons at DePaul -- later decided on LSU, it became an embarrassment of riches. In Reese and Morrow, the Tigers have two of the best rebounders and interiors scorers in the game.
Mulkey now has three potential All-Americans and Reese is a top contender for national player of the year. Throw in SEC Freshman of the Year Flau'jae Johnson and guard Mikayla Williams, the No. 2 recruit in the country, plus 6-foot-2 Sa'Myah Smith and point guard Kateri Poole, who each spent time in the starting lineup a year ago, and the talent at LSU is staggering.
As a result, no team will receive more scrutiny and examination than the Tigers, an environment in which Mulkey seems to embrace and thrive.
