McEnany predicts Trump lead will shrink when DeSantis announces 2024 run

Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany predicted that former President Trump’s lead over his other rivals for the GOP nomination will shrink once Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) joins the race.
She said DeSantis has “done a phenomenal job” as governor of Florida and has many achievements to mention during the debates.
“Polling suggests that President Trump has this wide lead, but I think that once Gov. DeSantis declares, you’re going to see that lead tighten,” she said. “He hasn’t even declared his candidacy yet.”

In Trump’s last election battle, he lost to a senile, stupid, child groper. In his election battle before that, he barely beat someone no one was excited about or liked. DeSantis is going to be by far his hardest test, and Trump ain’t what he used to be. He’s Lonnie Lump now.

So, Trump AG says Trump "will deliver “chaos” if he returns to the White House in 2024 and that his presidency would be a “horror show" (see other thread) AND Trump's former Press Sec makes these comments ... seems to be upsetting some Always Trumpers.

Hes almost at 60%. Sure his lead might shrink. But not by 25+% One out of every 4 Trump voter isnt sitting there thinking, man if only Ron would declare??

Y’all are such fools on this.
Right now he has the state of Florida humming. There is an EXTREMELY weak incumbent and while there is a clear front runner there still is a significant portion of the GOP looking for someone else.
There is zero telling what the future holds. Maybe the real Estate market tanks in Florida. Maybe the recession deepens and that hits Florida double because of tourism. Maybe Biden ends up stepping aside and he faces a strong newsome on 4 years. Maybe Don wins again and then the VP is in a solid position. Maybe don wins again and the last year of his presidency is riots and or pandemic again and the Republican Party is completely tainted.

Hes not taking out Scott or Rubio from their Senate seats. Scott is in his 1st term, and will run again in 2024, while Ron is still guv. Rubio doesnt run again until '28 when Ron makes his final bid for prez against Trumps VP. Because if Trump doesnt win in this economy, no repub will ever win again
