I don't think I recall seeing any season threads on this one on here, but I didn't start watching with Mrs. Vox until midway through S2.
Curious if there were any others who were watching this and it just wasn't being discussed.
If so, thoughts on the way they chose to end the series?

Not many of us stuck it out and then it got realllll woke in 2020 and that turned even more people off to it
I’m watching the finale tonight after I get home from work.

in a world where its become cliché to call everything woke...that show may have been the wokest thing on tv.

Yeah, DJ Nash is a prissy queen who hit every cliche branch on the way down as he fell out of the Hollywood liberal tree.
The BLM-adjacent episodes were hard to sit through. Ditto for the weirdo tranny at Rome's school.
Out of respect for those who might not have caught last night's finale, I won't get into spoilers yet.

Right
It was all clearly shoehorned into the show as they were writing it so it would be topical and preachy because the at the moment that’s all anyone wanted was to virtue signal any way they could

Get your T levels checked, my dude.

Ironically enough, they blew past COVID and closed it out with nary a mask in sight after less than 3 episodes. I have to think that hurt Nash's soul a little bit not to lean into it and virtue signal his arse off about that, too.
For a show I followed for 3.5 seasons, I have pretty much nothing but open contempt for him as a showrunner/writer.

Watched the whole series with a cringe look on my face the entire time. Not sure why I can't just stop watching something after starting it knowing I hate every message they deliver.
*****Kind of Spoiler?****
The last episode taught me that me and my wife see things differently on the morality of death and how to go about it. I see that I have a MUCH more conservative religious backed viewpoint on the subject. She was all for the way it ended and I was like, "Nah that goes against everything I believe in". Let's just say she better hope she doesn't get cancer. ( I pray she doesn't either)

When Chinese chick left her disabled husband because he was not Asian, I bailed.
I think they were all headed to a BLM protest, too.
It was just too much cringe virtue-signaling to take.

I stuck it out. I liked the way they ultimately ended it.
Parts were a slog and I am glad that it's over.
By the end I only liked one third of the characters at best.

I'm not a fan of the choices they made, but definitely agree that a solid 2/3-3/4 of the characters are truly reprehensible.

I loved the first season.. my mom committed suicide so it was an interesting and topical show… but yah it got unwatchable with woke shite

It was a decent finale
Few things I’m as passionate about ( I’m not very vocal about it as it doesn’t come up often anywhere) but I’m all for dying with dignity… I maybe would have a different tune but after seeing my sweet great aunt who I loved crying out in pain for someone to end it for her as cancer had taken over.. sadly that’s one of the last memories I have of her and I don’t wish that agony on anyone
I’m glad they went through with it for Gary so their friend wouldn’t be suffering and could say their goodbyes and everyone had happy endings

Well, almost everyone.

The bizarre double standard we have regarding this issue is mind boggling. If your pet is aged or infirmed, not only is it totally understandable to help end their suffering, you'd be an awful person if you didn't.
When a person reaches the end of their life? Not so much. And the kicker is that a person can TELL you that they don't want to go on.

Gary thanking his doctor for giving him that long was a pretty touching moment.
Basically I was only watching for Gary by the end.

1st season was good and then it went downhill very quickly. Like others have said. That show turned into the wokest show on TV and became ridiculous.

Read a review that basically called it a medical drama without a hospital. The only trick Nash has up his sleeve are tears.
1 character cancer twice
1 character cancer twice
1 character brain aneurysm.
1 character suicide
1 character suicidal depression
2 characters were molested.
1 character with TBI.
1 character with Alzheimer’s.
They begin to put their lives right and the writers say hold my beer let’s snuff out Gary with the last 3 episodes.
