A US woman was left horrified after she accidentally captured the moment she was fired from her job.
Jen Lucas, from Atlanta, Georgia, was filming a “cute” day-in-the-life video in the style of director Wes Anderson.
While recording the vlog, Jen discovered she had been laid off from her position as a recruiting manager at Amazon.
She uploaded the clip to TikTok and it went viral – attracting more than 6.1 million views.
The video begins with her banging her head against the wall. Text over the clip reads: “I was trying to film a cute Wes Anderson-style WFH [work from home] and accidentally filmed myself getting laid off??!”
It was followed by a title sequence that read: “Getting laid off from my job. What the f**k”.

Yeah, that doesn't seem like that most stable position given the current environment. Some may argue it could be the most unstable.

Out of all the positions in the tech industry, recruiting has to be the most unstable position of all

Relax. She will be fine. She went on an emotional health walk.

Yes, the epitome of the modern miserable liberal woman. Hope she's enjoying her "liberation" from having a husband and children!

Sure. I am going to click on a Tik Tok video and put that spyware right on my computer. I am probably already compromised 6 ways to Sunday, no chance I do it intentionally. The very fact that they are still trying with this type drivel is enough to know I should keep changing laptops annually.

Someone read an email while a camera was recording them? Oh shite I've got to see that! -6.1 million dumb fricks
They just got that woman paid. Video is probably fake, too

She probably made a whopping $100 bucks on that video
Tiktok doesn't pay nearly as well as youtube for views. In fact, they pay pennies by comparison.

Other than make TikTok videos, what does a recruiting manager do when their company is firing everybody to cut costs?
