It's sad what's happened to a once great airline.

This is what happens when you put an A&M grad in charge.

Southwest used to be the premier airline. What happened?

Just flew Southwest yesterday with no problems, literally could’ve been me.

Didn’t this happen to them a few months ago too

They were outstanding as a short hop airline flying between Houston, Dallas, New Orleans, etc. It has never been the same since they tried to become something else.

And rather than invest in critical technology or infrastructure, Southwest gives executives bonuses and buys back billions in stocks. frick them.

Southwest success was a combination of many things that probably made them seem better than they were.
It has been a long time since Southwest has actually been a good deal flying out of Dallas. American always has them beat on price it seems, and the free bags is negated by just having an AA credit card.

Daily Mail cites a systemwide computer glitch. Would be interesting to know more.

Yep, been sitting on the plane since 8:00

Yes, I think it had to do with the technology related to assigning staff to flights. I think I recall that pilots for example would have to manually call a line to report being late and stuff like that.

So if Southwest fails who buys their inventory or absorbs them? That’s a lot of 737s
