It was 24-3 at half !
We had two first downs!
It was a case study in incompetence.
It was cold and windy as hell.
Everybody was booing and the atmosphere was negative and surly.

I DON"T BLAME ANYBODY WHO LEFT EARLY. They are adults, they paid for their tickets. Why sit by miserably, witnessing that ignominious defeat when they can go get a bowl of gumbo and a bourbon ? Who likes to bask in misery. I don't agree with them, but I don't blame them. They epitomize the current lackadaisical, spoiled state of the LSU football program. Jimmy Carter should come to the Baton Rouge, and give a speech about malaise, that's the only thing missing.

I went and got some hot cocoa for Mrs. Pimp during halftime. I'm not the type that leaves early. Not because I'm a "real" fan, I just stay. I tend to be optimistic and sunny by nature.

When Troy scored their 31st point , the next mass exodus ocurred. That left the stadium virtually atmosphere-free. The players were on their own. I really didn't notice a lot of people leaving thereafter. Anyone who had stayed that long, probably stayed until the sweet, sweet end.

As the LSU momentum built, and that sense of inevitable victory built, I think those left behind felt vindicated. People in the stands were talking about it. And it was comical, because the crowd was so thin, you would notice people you knew twenty rows away. Look-there's Mitch from Louisiana Nursery, and Mike from Maison Lacour, and David from the fraternity and Joe from High School....

At this point LSU fans just need to STFU. We are largely irrelevant, living off past glory, full of self-congratulatory bluster. Even now, some tard (sorry PJ) is on my radio talking about Nick Saban. Saban ? We don't believe in our team, we don't believe in our coaches, it's not important to us anymore to even stay at the stadium. We have made second-guessing an art form and have a juvenile view of reality. We bitched our way through a National Freaking Championship and now we are sniveling through a 9/10 win season. THAT IS WHO WE ARE. Snivelers. Whiners. Crybabies. With a ridiculous sense of entitlement.

I'm not blaming us or even asking for change, I'm just acknowleding the Truth.

Flame away tards !

It was either leave or kill the wife to stop the whining and there were too many witnesses to do the right thing.

Poor baby! It's was too cold for your delicate skin to handle? God help you if you ever go to a football game up north in Dec or Jan

I only have one word to say about this, but I don't want to get banned.

I had CU tix for nine years. I once went to a top ten matchup of Da Buffs and K State when the temp at kickoff was 10 below. I stayed till the end then too.

I would have left early. shite it honestly looked like the defense and team gave up. Yes i said it. So why should we stay through that crap which is this year. Once again we start the game 7-0 by another pick 6. I think Jared Lee main purpose was to ruin LSU Football. Someone sent him to Baton Rouge for one purpose piss of all of Louisiana and throw INT. For Goodness sake we were playing TROY a Sun Belt school which ULL Lafayette will probably beat next week

Well said. Some of us who live out of state look to LSU as a lifeline to a home we get to visit far too infrequently. I appreciate the Tigers and the fact that though many fans quit on them, they did not quit on the game.

you expect them to stop the spread...we stopped it on pure talent in the second half...so a team that has subpar talent is suppose to stop a team that made all of there throws in the first half...i might have to say your out of your mind...they won't get pressure on the quarterback which is what we did in the second half and Troys quarterback will pick them apart

All the boys at my tailgate were gone, when we left the stadium. I don't blame them, but lets stop pretending we are hardcore. We are fair weather.

I'd be willing to bet that had any other SEC team been down to Troy 24-3 at the half and 31-3 in the third quarter you would've seen the same mass exodus.

Agreed. We are JUST like EVERBODY ELSE. Nothing worth writing poems about. Just another fan base. We like to party and have fun and when they win slap each other on the back and talk about how awesome we are. Just like everybody else.
