Not sure why you say this when Nippolt has been the first infielder off the bench all year.

I think Nippolt has the inside track to be the shortstop next year. Doesn’t mean someone can’t take it from him tho.

I think we’re all expecting both SS and 2B to become open spots next year right? I suppose Thompson could pass up the draft and return next year though.

Nothing against Nippolt but he doesnt have the talent level to be an every day player on this roster or probably next years. Just very limited at the plate. He is a good guy to have off the bench though.

It's Guidry. If he's healthy, he's our shortstop next year. Nippolt is a solid reserve infielder at his best IMHO.
