DAT 4/13: Off Day Shenanigans Start Page 4

Well, here we are, two weeks of games into the season and facing yet another must-win to stay in the playoff race.
Sitting in third place only because Oakland isn't trying and Seattle has been equally disappointing.
Haven't won a series yet. Maybe today is the day?
It was a good run, friends.
Side note: Rich Hill is the oldest active major leaguer and the only player left who was active when the Astros won the NL in 2005.

We're sitting Yed in a must-win game with an off dsy tomorrow. Dusty is in full Dusty mode already.

Did anybody else chuckle when looking at lineup and think, "Damn Dusty, you doing Dusty things."

Well you know, the big man needs some rest too, so here's a chance to get him two rest days against a tough lefty (Yed has a career .966 OPS vs. lefties) who really can bring the heat. (Hill can not, in fact, really bring the heat.)

Can 36 year old slappy singles hitter Jose Abreu get one of dem off days?

I consider myself a pretty patient person when it comes to player performance and all that but Abreu’s 9th inning AB last night was one of the most unforgivable things I’ve ever witnessed. He looked like he was drunk

He is still adjusting to Dusty ball, give him some slack. You would turn to alcohol too after two weeks with Dusty as your new manager.

I missed that AB and the short lived comeback
Mostly b/c it was never winnable

There will be no chuckles until the fricking off by Dusty is completed.

Imagine playing back to back years under Tony LaRussa and Dusty Baker. Maybe I should be more sympathetic to his trauma.

All of these signs point to a blowout Astros win.
13-3 Astros. Breggy Bombs and Hensley goes oppo taco. You heard it here first.

I hate abreau as much as I hate Brantley. I do not understand why a large percentage of the fan base believes these guys are superstars.
