Day 1: arrived at 7am local time, by the time I went through customs and arrived at the hotel it was 11am. Dropped off luggage and went to explore Hyde Park, Kensington, and Harrods shop. That night hit up a Jack the Ripper tour.
Day 2: British Museum, Trafalgar Squars, Convent Gardens, Elton John.
Day 3: Westminister Abbey, Convent Garden

If you go to St Paul’s Cathedral, look for Sir Edward Packenham’s memorial and laugh at the geezer who paid the ultimate price trying to lead the invasion of New Orleans.

I hope you add a post with your thoughts on each activity after you finish your trip. I've never been to London and want to learn more.

Go to a play one evening. They are quite an experience. We had good luck walking up to the box office and buying tickets day of or before. The cheap seats are still good views, so no need to shell out big bucks.

Just got back last night from London. Saw Elton John Saturday night. Great show!

I'm headed there for the coronation next month. Legit interested to see how much of a madhouse it is.

The Easter holiday weekend was very crowded around the major tourist attractions and Harrods. We stayed in Mayfair at a VRBO. The location couldn’t have been better and that area would be ideal for the coronation activities. We did a quick walk through of Kensington Palace. It was crowded and not impressive. I think I see more news in American media about the coronation than I did in London.

Absolutely go see a play on the West End. It’s a great time.
The British Museum is fascinating and I could have spent an entire day there if we had the time. I really do want to go for the Churchill War Rooms as well as I missed that last time I went.
The London Underground (tube) is fantastic and really use to use and navigate.

Agreed on this. Been to London three times now and I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve used any transportation there other than the tube. It’s incredibly easy to use and I like it even better now that you don’t even need an oyster card to get around.
If anyone is looking to just get out of the inner parts of London but still an easy tube ride away, I’d highly recommend Camden Town. Really unique area, lots of great pubs, great street food, things to do, places to see, and shopping.
