Single engine plane crash, I am not surprised. Going to assume one of them was flying and not a professional pilot.

Yep! Egos kill people. I took flying classes when I was in college and after my first and only solo I realized the “Pilot” is a full time job not a hobby!

I think that was a PA32–a small plane.

I don’t think the guy is a member of the Raytheon board of directors as the OP seems to think. The article says he was an associate director. That is probably a mid level management position of some sort.

Sorry to read of this deadly accident.
