Truth about the LSU Baseball Team.

Every time we lose a game this year there seems to be a giant chasm in the fan base about what is the true evaluation of the 2023 LSU baseball team.
The detractors think that outside of Skenes we are running out JV arms one after another. The defenders think that losing baseball games is inevitable and there isn’t a need to dig deeper into losses.
I believe the truth is somewhere towards the latter, but just insisting this team is without flaws and will just catch some bad breaks along the way isn’t realistic.
The pitching staff isn’t as strong as we were lead to believe coming into the year. Some of that has to do with injuries and over reliance on freshman early. We still have 20 SEC games to improve and it’s not exactly a fatal flaw.
On the other hand, the offense is even better than we thought it would be. Bats do come and go, but we will blow teams out and that will allow us to burn lesser arm talent and get in sec pitching reps to improve those same arms.
Bottom line is, if you don’t believe this team has as good of a chance as any to win in Omaha, you aren’t being honest with yourself. On the other hand, Pitching needs to improve to make that reality more certain, but no team has it figured out in early April.

You fricking boomers with your unbearably long OP’s need to go back to Dandy Don.

That really wasn't long, and it was pretty spot on. This team staying white hot and running through sweeping the SEC in 7 inning games does nothing for us come tournament time. This team needs adversity, the other parts of this team won't develop without it.

This is a real thing. I’m a Boomer (barely) being 60. And I often marvel at the lack of attention spans younger people have these days. It’s hurting our Republic, too, because you guys don’t have the patience to understand contemporary issues. It’s pretty much, “Brawndo has what plants need” with you guys. Anything else is incomprehensible.
I hope that wasn’t too long for you!

Gen Z-ro, measurably the stupidest generation in American history.

There are times when long forum discussion is required. OP could have made his point in three sentences or less.
Time is money and you boomers have never figured that out. That’s why you just have the government print it for you.

Think Jay is finding out some weaker links early enough we should be set come tournament time w/o hopefully any more arm injuries.
S.C. is capable of sweeping us with those bats if we don’t get more consistency from relievers.
Today was a screw up. I think if it hadn’t rained Paul would have pitched into the 7th and we would have beat that arse by then with runs.
Instead we come out of the rain down 2 with our ACE done already in the 4th. That suck Donkey. Patchwork after that by Jay to not screw up guys you need tomorrow.

Not our problem that your generation has the attention span of a three year old.

You think the schedule we play isn’t hard enough?

Well remember the ole skipper that just retired what 2 years ago. JJ losses are similar kind of worrisome imo

That's an objectively good analysis.

Lmao. Vandy and sc seem so be doing just fine? It’s ok to admit lsu may be just a little over hyped. Some pitchers need to step it up in a big way if they plan to make it to Nebraska

I'm a millennial and he's right. OP was like a 30 second read.

I am 50 and this nation is fricked with the kids that are growing up today. OP was dead on in his analysis

Don't want to make excuses for them, but you can blame it on the hijacking of the education system and the steady destruction of the nuclear family.

LSU is a good team, not an overwhelmingly good team. Will this team make the CWS? Iffy.
Lacking a strong bull pen. But they'll surge towards the end of the SEC.
