If (big if, but damn, we're 25 games in, not 10)
But if he maintains this pace, he'll have top 10 single season marks in literally every hitting category in LSU history.
The following is a list of other LSU greats that can say that.

Also, he'll be #1 in a few, not just top 10.

I wish he'd played with Larsen's vitamins and drop 5 bat. But people would've died, so maybe better this way.

No lol……judging a baseball player by team accomplishments is dumb

Not less then a week ago people were saying we were a .500 SEC at best and we would be lucky to get into the tournament much less host a regional. I'm so confused.

No they weren’t.

I think we need to seperate it to pitchers and position players. But yes I agree he is the best position player to play at LSU. I would like for him to be able to solidify it with Player of the year and CWS Championship.

I would consider a national award hardware.

He has to hit .482 for the remainder season to break Walker’s .396 career avg. record.

Maybe if you are judging an ENTIRE career. but this thread is specifically about LSU. This was the OP...

So no matter how may times you say it, MLB stats dont matter to this argument.

No they weren’t.

They absolutely were. There were some real shitheads around these parts when we dropped game 1 to the hogs

Just one example. I had plenty of bookmarks.

If I was a pitcher or third baseman in that time and Crews came to the plate I’d fake an injury or illness

Then how do you put him ahead of Furniss of Walker based on what they’ve accomplish at LSU?

At this point?

It’s always going to affect people’s judgment.

Mike Trout is a generational player with zero hardware. Doesn’t affect his status one bit. It means zero in baseball.

He has several MVPs.

Dylan Crews was a co-SEC Player of the year.

We’ve had players win national player of the year awards.

We’ve had players win rings.

Crews needs to win something.

He's an outfielder, not a QB.

Can they not win player of the year awards?

You mentioned team accomplishments. Team accomplishments mean nothing. Crews has only played two years and already has an SEC Player of the Year. Sure he needs to win something, but he’s literally on an insane pace right now and will have plenty at this rate.
