162-0 confirmed!

TDA had a very good day at the plate today. Hopefully he just stung something on that slide and wasn't actually hurt.

ETA: Feels good to post this again.

Glad we got a "W" today.

And glad we saved a couple of long balls for later in the series.

Said it was most likely a DL situation and he’ll miss his next start.

love how he was the best fielding 1B in Oakland, gets to atlanta and is immediately meh, at least by my eyeball test. I’m

As much as he made some bone headed plays last year here and there, he was actually 2nd in DRS behind Walker on the Dbacks as far as 1B go, and was one of only 4 1B with a positive OAA and RAA stat. He was slightly better than Freddie defensively based on all the defensive metrics.

He definitely had a step down defensively from his previous years though.

Watching Cardinals/Blue Jays right now and it is so surreal hearing Chip.

Id be fine with never hearing his voice again.

He made watching a Braves game almost unbearable.

“Well, you know, it’s tough but, you know, it’s baseball. You don’t want it to happen, Max is such a good kid, plays real hard every time out but injuries happen in baseball so, you know, just kind of have to take the good with the bad and Max will be alright, he’s young and such a good kid you hate to see this happen but, you know, you’d rather it happen now and maybe not late in the season but these things have a way of working themselves out. Baseball’s a real long season and we’ll be okay. We will come out to the ballpark tomorrow and get to work like we always do and see how it goes.”

Kyle muller opening day starter for Oakland. Random to see that checking scores this morning.

Feel like he will be one that will sting over the years. Hopefully we get another chip or two to lessen the pain.

Muller's biggest problem is that he has to dial back his fastball to gain command of it. Unless he can start actually locating that 98 mph heat, he's not going to turn into a consistently good starter. He'll have games where he shows flashes of it.

TGIF fellas! Only problem is the Braves aren't playing. I've never understood that stupid scheduling quirk that's happened to the Braves many times of playing on opening day but not the day after.

Supposedly there's an off day just in case there's inclement weather on opening day.

Also for anyone interested Gwinnett plays tonight. We get to see Grissom and Shewmake and I believe Elder is starting who may be an option to fill in for Fried while he recovers. I think you can watch the game if you have an MLB.tv subscription.

With Shuster and Dodd already in the rotation, I was wondering who’d get Fried’s starts. I guess it will be Elder or Anderson. I don’t imagine Wright will be ready. Just with the timing and rest days, I guess it’s gonna have to be Elder. If Anderson goes tomorrow, he’d have to start on short rest. Hope Elder looks good tonight. The off day today is gonna wind up helping.

That’s cool. I have a subscription, but have never looked for minor league games. Are they easy to find?
