If you're pretty far ahead if league average and also take that shot at a higher clip than than any other player in the league(which Sengun does), it's pretty fair to say he's elite at it.



Zion ranks something like 80th in FG% at the rim, so would you say Zion is not elite at the rim?

Some use the term "elite" way too freely on this board sometimes.

Jokic is obviously on another level. That being said, in 3 of his 8 seasons, Sengun’s % was better than his from that distance.

I still contend 51% on high volume as a 20 year old is elite. It took Sabonis basically 6-7 years to match that on his end.

Another point. As bad as Sengun is on defense at this point, he blocks more shots than Jokic and Sabonis. I know that’s not the end all, be all defensive stat, but it suggests his defensive upside could exist as he progresses and learns the subtleties of defending the pick and roll.
