Seems like a normal day in the hood. Surprised it’s being touted as a mass shooting.

We always tell each other after going out in Bossier on the weekends that we’re not crossing the river to go to the bars/casinos.

This is why.

Nobody understands when I try to tell them what it was like working and living in Shreveport. Catch a bullet a 7 AM on a Sunday minding your business. Savages up there just don’t care.

When I was just making my coffee the Alexa show scrolled past a story and picture of a white guy in handcuffs and a headline that read “Florida teenager charged in cheerleader death” and I thought, why is this national news? There are multiple teenagers shot and killed every weekend in Chicago yet I’m not seeing those headlines come across when people are charged.

Every time I see a shooting like this in Shreveport 99% of the time it’s 5 minutes from my work. Such a shite hole

Shreveport somehow just elected a Republican mayor, but don’t be fooled by that election. In reality, Shreveport is now Jackson, Mississippi. The only difference is Jackson lost its taxpaying base and their votes quicker than Shreveport. Jackson got a jump start on turning into a hopeless cesspool.

Almost every current elected official is a racist, corrupt, incompetent crook.

The amount of incompetence and corruption being documented and reported is a daily stream, and that’s just what the local news reports.

Demographics can turn, jobs can leave, crime can rise, but decent leadership can slow the downfall. All hope is lost when the city is managed like a third world banana republic.
