Time to buy Blackberry?

Current Market Cap 2.2 Billion
There is a deal on the table to sell all of their previous communications IP for $900 million - $170M cash up front and the rest is potential $ based on the revenue that the buyer brings in from the patents.
Its no guarantee that they cash in all of this but the theoretical value of this deal is worth roughly half of their market cap. A lot of capital for them to work with going forward to build out their company.
What do others think about the future outlook of Blackberry and acquiring some shares below $4?

Idk. There was a thread from some poster in 2021 that said just by and hold Blackberry. I did and now I would like to kick that dude in the junk.

Their cylance product is actually really solid for enterprise IT and security.

IIRC that thread said that blackberry was the end be all of EV software. I bought in at that time and was able to exit after a lengthy hold.

Many bagholders left in here from the pump and dump stocks propped up in here every few months. The list is to long to name.

I’m not an investor in them. Have just used their product. It’s solid.

Was it you? Well I'm holding BB indefinitely now along with a few of that moron Ancient Tiger's picks. Guess I was the bigger moron. I haven't actually lost money yet because I haven't sold.

Glad I’m not the only one holding a bunch of it.

We bought a few days before it exploded. Anyone that held had two chances to sell for over 200%

I remember reading awhile back that their IPs were already priced in.

You just got to rub it in? Anyway...OP I recommend against buying Blackberry.

I can’t manage everyone’s accounts. I’ve given out several winning picks. That’s all I can do
