Marquez Callaway plans to sign with the #Broncos, per @JFowlerESPN . Reuniting with Sean Payton.
I remember how hype I was for this guy 2 pre-seasons ago when it looked like him and Jameis had a connection.

You knew Seanathan would take some randoms with him just like when he brought quite a few cowboys here.

Scott Shanle, who wasn’t very good.

Fujita and Shanle were good players. They brought a new LB in every year to take Shanle’s spot and he beat them out every single time.

I'm old enough to remember certain people on this forum legitimately believing Callaway was a starting WR for an offense.
Oh, the days.

I never thought he was a number 1, but i did think he could be a good/above average #2 and certainly very good #3 option.
I'd bet the Saints would've loved him to stay and be paid like and utilized like a #4, but he thinks more highly of himself and so does Payton.
I would've loved:
Olave
CGM
Shaheed
CALLOWAY
But now we'll have to see if Jarvis wants to come back for that 3/4 role and the pay/snaps that come with it or hope Trequan can actually stay healthy... if CGM can avoid injury, we have an awesome 1/2 WR duo and Shaheed looks like a really good 3rd option.
We'll have passes going to Kamara, Johnson, and Trautman as well... worrying about the 4th WR (assuming injury doesn't force an elevation to #3 or even #2) is a pretty great position to be in. If the entire roster were as deep and promising as the WR room I think we'd all consider the Saints a true-blue SB contender at almost an NFC-Favorite level.

Shanle was good at the run but was god awful in coverage. I almost broke my tv numerous times over him. Other than a couple of ok seasons, he was average at best. Don’t understand the infatuation with him by some of our fans.

Shanle was the scapegoat for anything wrong with the defense until he was gone.

Can he take peat and Ruiz

Shanle actually sucked...

Epitome of average at everything. Actually had pretty good instincts for a LB he just didn't have the athleticism to compliment it. Would diagnose a play sometimes before it even happened but always took a bad angle because he was slow af.
