I like what coach did there. At first I read it like we had to recruit him and talk him into it. I don’t think that was really the nature of it. I also don’t know which side desired it but I see it being from LSU side. It does some great things in regards to his development but also gives Jayden a sense that LSU is all in on getting him whatever he needs. I hope they are doing the same for Nuss.
I also think it is right down the alley of the type of stuff that Colin Hurley and his parents have been all about in their development of him. There has always been a plan. Really good for recruits to see.
Hope we do it for all our positions not just the qb. The individualization of it is great.

The nega-tiger will say we had to recruit him back, so we don't like our QB options.

The posi-tiger will say it shows a clear path to develop him better and help him improve himself and his draft stock.

From a story on the TD homepage LINK

quote:

"When Jaden made the decision to come back, I think there were a number of things that were on the table for discussion," Kelly said.

"You start with physical development and how we can put together a plan for his strength and conditioning."

"We had to recruit him back. We had to give him a comprehensive plan for what we would do in the weight room. And how we would continue to develop him technically as a quarterback."

"And then utilizing the resources that we have here. We have VR, we have the ability to train year-round, and having receivers here for him."

"It was really just having a comprehensive year-round training program for him right here and then providing him the opportunity to do other things as well. He went out on the west coast and trained with other elite quarterbacks and we provided him with the contacts to do that."

"It was about continuing the development of a quarterback at that stage. And when we met with him, and he saw that we had a compressive plan, it helped him make his decision."

When you make a thread with this as the title, the people that click it are probably expecting to read the statements made by BK. Not your thoughts on statements that aren't provided.

Coaches should be literally coaches. There are too many that didn’t really wear that coach title well. Coach the sport, coach some life lessons, be genuine and impactful.

As frustrating it was last year at times, Jayden was pretty damn efficient 16 TD passes, 3 pics, 11 rushing TDs and 800 yds.....He was our offense.

I wont believe any of it until that first game against FSU. That will tell me all i need to know about his development. Call me a skeptic but i didnt believe Joe Burrow saying the offense had changed his senior year but you know what he changed that real quick. Daniels will have to do the same thing.
