Would this make a good penal colony? I say yes. All violent crimes gdo here to serve time. Let them have it and let Darwinism take order what say you?

I’m pretty sure that counts as cruel and unusual.

If by Darwinism you mean freeze to death within a matter of days

No. I mean let the strongest survive. I know no one could survive long term but the false sense of living life free from being in a cage might entice some to try rather than sitting on death row.

Are these people given supplies and shelter or just tossed out in the cold on their own?

Ain't nobody is surviving if they're just tossed out to fend for themselves

No. I would say provide a ration drop periodically and maybe provisions for rudimentary shelter, but basically let them figure it out. Remember they're the ones that murdered YOUR loved one.

Nobody that knows anything about Antarctica would volunteer and it is the definition of "cruel and unusual", especially with the above added in. I spent some time in Antarctica climbing Vicent Massif and it is fricking cold along with the wind it is a special kind of cold and I have been in plenty of cold places. When it starts to hit -50 in the winter and they have no wood for fires they are just going to die off. The place is simply uninhabitable for humans. The cost of supplying them and setting them up for just survival-level living would be higher than in a prison like ADX Florence.

It’s not allowed, we have a international treaty with everyone limiting what you can do there (and probably the aliens living there or something)

Every country receiving foreign aid must take x number of prisoners per y amount of dollars. I'll let the OT determine the ratio.

I’ve always said that we should send them to Somalia or the Congo. Just drop them off, give them $1K, wish them good luck and walk away.

It would cost too much to supply them.

Put them on an island someone in the pacific rather and wait for a tsunami to take them out.

I'm sure the victims of these fine folks got the same consideration.

Maybe one with an active volcano nearby and make sure the shark population is doing well in the area.
