Which One Is Better?

Own both....which one should I keep and which one should I sell? Not worried about price.

FN has a damned good track record with that gun.

But, I’m not ready to say one is better, because I just don’t know.

I’d consider keeping both of you have enough rounds.

If one will be your go-to in the nightstand, keep the other as a truck gun or in the garage.

I’m not a multiple-caliber guy though.

I think I'm going to sell the FN. I think the Ruger is just as good, but doesn't have the "Prestige" of the FN.

The obvious answer is to buy the new S&W too.

Do you like it? I’ve been on the fence about buying one. I usually splurge on something that goes bang in the spring.

Of course I also want to buy a can for my AR, so that might be my splurge

Yeah I think going from 2 up to 3 makes way more sense than 2 down to 1. Variety is the spice of being armed, or something.

Shot both, own the Ruger not super super in the know of the FN. I prefer the ruger from just shooting them side by side a few times and the feel, but the slide is pretty susceptible to rust, which can be dealt with easily. Just something I have noticed.

I been wanting to get into the 5.7 but I was looking either ruger or the smith.

This is easy. You buy a 556 can now…and since you have to wait about 280 days for it you also buy the S&W now. That way you have what you splurged on now…and later on you you get to splurge again when you finally get it

Then run the 556 can on the pistol too.

Then get a cmmg 5.7 upper for your AR

Then get……

Might as well keep both and buy the Excel X-series 5.7.

Owned both and only own the Ruger now. The trigger is better than the FN. Plus I sold the FN to my son so I can still shoot it when I want.
Personal opinion is I like the Ruger better.

Do they have the extended magazine yet for the Ruger 57? I believe it holds 35 rounds? Not sure if they're available yet.
