Sure but they are unlikely to do that.

It’s desperation time.

If they fail next year, the Zion era is over, Griffin and Langdon are gone, as is WIllie Green.

Multiple picks and players are getting traded. I would say no player except Zion is safe.

Yeah, unless the pick is top 4 and too good to trade, at a minimum it’s getting bundled with JV to get a better center.

Do any of us really want to see them try to solve the center problem by drafting another young big who even if he does work out probably won’t be useful for 2-3 years?

The Pels need to make changes now. If the season had not had the plot twist of us sucking and the Lakers making the play in, we still would be looking to upgrade JV with the “Lakers Pick” and people would be a lot less attached to it.

If we have a sub .500 record next season and Zion plays under 30 games again, then he shouldn't be safe either... not that he'd have much value.
