FYI, a Weber Instant Read thermometer works just as fast and accurate as a thermopen, and only cost $17. ($14 on Amazon)
I compared mine to my friend’s Thermopen, both responded with exact same temp and speed

I just read through the reviews. Apparently it's a worthless piece of shite.
However...
I've got a 30 dollar thermopro from Lowes that works great. In fact, I've got 4 thermopro products that all work great.
