Per Kendall:
quote:
SOURCES: Beginning in 2025 with the addition of Texas and OU, the @SEC will move to a regular season schedule that will include two series each year against permanent opponents and eight series against rotating opponents for 30 games. The #SEC also will go to a single division.

I wouldn't mind playing Texas and Miss St. every year

Texas and State would be my top 2 options. In terms of history and ratings.

Two home/away permanent series opponent’s will likely be geographically biased. LSU would likely have two of these: Miss State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Arkansas. Texas would not be in the running as they would likely have Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Oklahoma would have Texas and Arkansas. IMHO.

so, it's still going to be 30 sec games, just with 2 teams we play every year? are the getting rid of the whole east/west divisions in all sports now?

Baseball doesn't need permanent opponents, especially if you're getting rid of divisions.
Teams that value the rivalry of their permanent opponents in baseball can easily schedule mid-week "non-conference" games.

Should do 5 series with permanent opponents, and rotate other 10 teams every year or 2 (home and then away).

Gotta think we get Ole Miss and Arky.

My vote is for Arky and State.
