So bizarre seeing that nonsense from Trump for those of us who were following the Disney vs Desantis drama real-time.
But Trump has never let reality get in the way of whatever dumbass view he and MAGA hold.
Trump's only agenda is trashing DeSantis. He has no new ideas, he is offering us nothing further, stands for nothing, and just rehashes his personal grievances. Whatever DeSantis does it sucks blah blah blah.
Does he ever tweet about anything else? He should be posting about topics that are relevant not DeSantiis beef with Disney from like 18 months ago.
He is a pathetic shadow of himself. Trump isn't bringing anything to the table that is compelling anymore.

Yep and this will be blindingly apparent during the debates.
The juxtaposition of boomer old af Trump spouting his nonsense with 44 year old Desantis who is sure of himself and has the conservative bonafides that is the envy of all other GOP candidates will be striking.

I think more R voters will realize if Trump is the nominee, that it takes Biden's age as an issue off the table

What fricking part of Disney was paying taxes even before Reedy Creek was restructured do you not understand?
Then Why did Ron state he was going to end their special tax status?
Repealing its tax status may hurt taxpayers instead
You sure you want to continue down this path? All you are doing is exposing people to the facts:
quote:
Ron DeSantis officially ends Disney’s special tax status in Florida
That's NY Post.
You sure you want to continue?
Did Disney maintain complete exemption from property & sales tax, tax-free bonds?
It's a yes or no. It's not hard to answer it.

It's really simple here:
Did Disney maintain complete exemption from property & sales tax, tax-free bonds?
It's a yes or no. It's not hard to answer it.

Why is he not posting about relevant topics? The SVB bailout? the possible financial system meltdown? the chaos in El Paso today? the war in Ukraine? You would think he would be showing some leadership and hammering the Democrats for their failures
No it's bitching about DeSantis and Disney which is like 2 year old news and that maybe Disney will still keep a tax break.

You think Disney didn't and still doesn't pay state and local taxes?

Talking about policy just isn't his strong suit. He comes off as robotic and out of his element

That wasn't the question. I will ask again:
Did Disney maintain complete exemption from property & sales tax, tax-free bonds?
It's a yes or no.

You will have to tell me because I really have no idea as to the intricacies of Disney's tax status in Florida. No bullshite: I really don't know have no idea where it stands and frankly I don't really much care. I know Disney STFU with their groomer bullshite as far as Florida politics go so Ron got the win. Ron is in the fight everyday and Trump is doing nothing but sitting on his fat arse, working on his golf handicap, and shite posting DeSantis. Trump is bringing nothing to the table at this point and some rah rah speech to the clapping seals at CPAC doesn't mean shite
Were you ever a Democrat or have you ever voted Democrat before you became a woke America Firster?
Yes or No? It's not hard to answer

Tanya, the tax is based on percentages. Walt Disney World is a large spread-out property and actually spans two counties. Each county charges its own sales tax rate. Depending on which county you are in when you make the purchase you are looking at either 6.5% or 7.5%.
They were never exempt from sales tax.

That is false. They did maintain complete exemption from Property tax and sales tax and Tax Free Bonds.
Disney to Keep Perks Under Florida Bill
quote:
Legislation introduced on Monday by Republicans in Florida’s Legislature would reshape the leadership structure and change the name of Disney’s Reedy Creek Improvement District. But under the bill, Disney would retain almost all of its exemptions from a host of regulations, taxes and fees in addition to powers allowing it to act much like its own government, including the issuance of bonds.

But the new improvement district will still have the same tax benefits it had before, such as the ability to issue tax-exempt bonds and other measures that have saved the company millions of dollars.
Tax benefits stay intact
Because the district is being left intact, however, it will keep its tax benefits, including the tax-exempt status of the district’s property.
Want to be honest yet?

You literally just linked to a PLAN DISNEY trip site that is talking to people planing a trip there and that the sales tax to those people ARE DIFFERENT based on the county.
Has NOTHING to do with Disney being exempt from sales tax.
IN big BLUE QUOTE at the top of the page:
Good lord!
Has NOTHING to do with Disney being exempt from sales tax.

How much tax should I expect to budget for when it comes to things like the lightsaber build or the droid building? And I guess all around gift shops.”

Because they've never been exempt from sales tax.
You think Disney collects sales tax that it pays back to itself?

Exactly, the county determines the sales tax, which in a shocker to absolutely no one, the county keeps for itself.
