Grabbed one from a customer sight unseen. Are the suppose to look fuzzy, or did I get a shitty optic. Opinions I’ve read online have been all over the place.

Probably your astigmatism.
Take a photo of the recticle with your phone and see what it looks like. If it's not sharp, then it's not your eyes.

Yes it’s supposed to be fuzzy if you stare at the reticle because of how the reticle is generated.
What’s it looking like when you’re target focused and the reticle is at appropriate brightness?

I checked with Eotech, it is genuine. It is likely my astigmatism. I’m going to trade it for a Holosun, I can’t get past the fuzziness Tried different brightness levels and focusing on the target

Might be a dumb question but are you keeping both eyes open ?

I have a holosun 512c and its kinda fuzzy too. Ive looked through eotechs and they seem more grainy than fuzzy to me.

From what I've been able to gather eyeballs vary enough that there is no reliable list of "this red dot works with astigmatism". I have an Eotech XPS and it's fine, some single red dots look like a grape cluster. The Trijicon MRO is a solution for a lot of people who are fuzzy with Aimpoints, but probably not everybody.
Best to try to look through them before you buy.

Brother, as a guy who has an astigmatism in my dominant eye, there isn't a single optic out there that's going to be clear except for a Prism *red dot*. I bought a Romeo 7 because it looks just as clear as a $800 Aimpoint to me.

Are you focusing on the dot or the target? Your suppose to look thru the dot and focus on the target. Also turning down the bightness helps
