China now has overland supply of oil and gas from russia. I would imagine food supplies too if needed.
As I pointed out in another post, tactically speaking, the supply routes from russia to china are almost untouchable.

there is one oil pipeline, the ESPO, with two legs that deliver 700,000 barrels per day of the 2.5 million barrels per day china needs
the rest of their oil imports come from Kazakhstan or the water - tankers, barges, etc
pipelines can be blown up, ships can be blockaded
oil is by far their biggest war vulnerability - that is why they have so many strategic petroleum reserves - 12
in their SPRs they have 250 million barrels, or about 100 days of normal supply

Russia can feed their own population and still export, but I doubt they have the surplus to feed 1.4 billion Chinese.....although that number is likely to be cut in half by 2050 due to demographics. Also, as manufacturing for the North American market moves away from China to Mexico, China isn't going to have the income to pay Russia for either. Fact is, China is pretty much over. They will have gone from pre-industrial to industrialization to post-industrial collapse in 40-50 years. Food and energy are traded on an open market and Russia isn't a charity. They're going to sell their goods at the best price that they can get....and China isn't going to be able to pay it. In fact, Russia should be more than a little concerned about China taking eastern Siberia. Outer Manchuria (where Vladivostok is located) was basically annexed at gunpoint by Russia from China. The Chinese might decide that they want it back.
