Go look at the Home/Garden forum on tigerdroppings.

There's thread after thread on this exact subject.

True...if you are looking for the most detailed and truly the "best". Most over there recommend a separate weed, then a separate feed.

Personally, I've never had a problem using the combo Scott's weed & feed.

I think there was a post saying it was on clearance or something. Maybe at Lowe's.

37.98 at Lowes. $75 at Sams! Question though. With these warm days, is it too soon to apply?

Domyown.com

However, I would send your soil into an Ag center to determine what it's deficient in, rather than just wasting money on nutrients that help weeds grow.

I had a Nutsedge problem in my yard that was completely incurable until I found the right topical and preventative mix, which I ordered from Domyown.com and mixed in a sprayer. Your yard is going to be different depending on the drainage, shade, etc.

If possible, I would hire a local associated with a nearby University Ag program and buy the application schedule from them after they analyze your turf. I had a guy in Houston that did my yard before he had to move, and I paid him $100 or something (which he didn't want to accept) just to get the active chemicals used and the schedule of application.
