Who's looking forward to the RE:4 remake? I rarely game and even I'm anticipating this.

My favorite franchise of all time. The RE:2 and 3 remakes were stellar, and 7 and 8 breathed new life into the series, with 8 actually even connecting on an emotional level--a first for an RE game.

While I don't anticipate an 8-like experience, I do anticipate a short, super-fun re-imagining of a classic game most similar to RE:3.

Hell, I may even make my first game pre-order ever (for whatever that's worth in the age of streaming).

4 was probably my favorite RE game growing up so I’m pretty excited

Loved the RE2 remake, But RE3 was a but disappointing. Capcom subbed it out to a different studio on a tight timeline, so a ton of stuff ended up getting cut that was in the original RE3. It was still fun, but just felt way more rushed than RE2Remake.
I’m hoping that they really knock this one out of the park.
I’ve always had mixed feelings about RE4. I loved it because it was fun as hell, but was the catalyst for taking RE away from being survival horror and more into action-shooter territory. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer tank controls and slow, lumbering zombies with ammo/inventory management. Regardless, I’m stoked for this and will be picking it up! Maybe one of these days they will get around to remaking Code Veronica

Seems like we're one of the few fans of this game. Just hope they fix that game-breaking bug at the end. Because of that, it's one of the few RE games I never finished.

I wish, but i dont think it's gonna happen. Game was dogshit. It and 0 were the only REs I quit early on.

Really pumped for 4. Everything they've put out has looked great so far

I am.

It was great, 4 almost felt like a silent hill/resident evil crossover, if there was ever going to be one.

I had never played 0 on prior generations and downloaded it last year just to get an RE fix. I enjoyed it. Now 6 on the other hand.

I doubt Code Veronica ever gets remade, Capcom acts like it doesn't even exist now. Maybe because one of the villains is a tranny I guess.

RE4 was a ridiculous game.

It was incredible.

They probably won’t remake it. I mean yeah it’s pretty jank in a lot of ways, but the story itself provides so much lore about Umbrella and Wesker, its kinda messed up to just pretend it didn't happen.
This is one that if they remade from the ground up and changed a ton of stuff around, I wouldn't be the least bit upset.

I initially thought that the re4 remake seemed unnecessary but I like the tone that the trailer is putting off.

I can appreciate the original versions B movie vibes and cheesiness, but I like that this remake is actually trying to present itself as a legitimate horror title. I’ve tried to replay the original and I can’t get used to the quasi tank aiming controls anymore. I just don’t have the patience to relearn arse aiming/movement mechanics.

I’ve never played code Veronica, so I wouldn’t mind them updating that title for a first playthrough. I didn’t consider the cross dressing /tranny antagonist so I could see why they wouldn’t touch that with a ten foot pole. Alphabet people would have a conniption.

Not sure how they intend to advance the plot for 9. 8 and it’s respective dlc seemed to tie up the winters plotline and the “current era” pretty well. All the major characters are all pushing retirement age if they continue on from there.

Im wondering if remakes are going to be the norm for a few years. It will be interesting to see if they want to even try salvaging 6.

Looks like RE:4 Remake VR mode will be released as free DLC (if you own a copy of RE:4 Remake, obviously)!

I have never gotten around to playing RE 4 for some reason. Its one of my favorite series but I just skipped over that entry so I'm looking forward to playing it for the first time.

At E3 in 2016 Capcom showed a video celebrating RE's 20th anniversary and they completely skipped Code Veronica.
I have a love/hate relationship with it. Like the island parts, HATE the parts in Antarctica.

Would love to see Dino Crisis get redone!! Then Code Veronica. It’s got to be the next in line!

I didn’t see your thread when I started mine. Guess or speculations on the demos drop? I am guessing maybe today or wed at latest.

I have such nostalgic member berries for Dino. Imo Parasite Eve needs a full on FF7 games level of remake
