He had probable cause to stop (which is technically detain) but no reason to body slam the guy. He should be fired.

Maybe I watched another video than you guys. The cop violated this guys rights in the 1st sentence.

Am I reading this wrong? They only turned the incident over to GBI "once the video came out?" The Sheriff's office had the video the whole time, it's THEIR video. So he's admitting they weren't going to do anything about it until it leaked/released?

Do you know what probable cause means? Maybe he had a hunch or a suspicion but he had no facts to create probable cause to believe a crime was being committed or had been committed.

The cop's demeanor was all wrong. No attempt to deescalate. Just immediately confident in his judgement that he had a bad guy.

Makes you wonder how many innocent people have been harassed by cops because they, "Match a description."
