I’m actively involved in multiple local charity outreach programs and a community activist group for NOLA. I love this place. It’s home. And there’s nothing like it anywhere else.

What are you doing?

NO is dirty as frick, dangerous, dilapidated and has much more going against than for it.

If Mardi Gras is the reason you find redeeming qualities that explains a lot since it’s an abnormality for the actual NO experience.

In New Orleans? Avoiding it, mostly.

I would like to make a trip with my brother to the WW2 museum. Other than a concert now and then, I'm good with staying away. Let the tourists and Teedy's crowd have it.

I'm too old for the partying anyway


ETA: FWIW...I'm glad there are still people like you willing to fight the good fight. I just don't have any family connection to the city, and when I've gone I never fell in love with it.
