Penhead reflexively regurgitates neocon talking points.
In other words, he is either a hypocrite or an ignoramus of history.

I think the problem with this argument is it suggests that one country has an inherent right to dictate how another sovereign country runs their country.
Russia has had NATO on it's doorstep for twenty+ years. Now, because of the Ukraine endeavor they have two more NATO members coming, one of them also at their doorstep.
I fail to believe Russia didn't account for this possibility. Which means this is about Ukraine, and not NATO at large.
Yep. Putin got away with grabbing parts of several countries using military power. He stepped into the honey bucket this time. Ukraine has the will to fight fueled by Moscow's past genocides against Ukrainians.

This is a short video about where Biden and crew are taking this Ukraine war and where it's going to end up.
Fully explains the END if they keep pushing this shite.

That is nonsense. The reason everyone wants to join NATO is because Russia wants to dominate and consume its neighbors and it always has.

This “sphere of influence” is such bullshite! Russia does not get a sphere to influence, guaranteed, for all eternity. Just as the Roman Empire eventually lost theirs, so is Russia losing theirs.

Newsweek is attempting the Bill Mahr tactic of picking and choosing when to be right, and when stay compliant with the extreme Far Left.

China nor Russia (especially Russia) is supplying neither country w/ weapons for the purpose of regime change in the US. Poor analogy.

If the US agreed with you Russia would not need to be in Ukraine

It’s odd how many criticize Zelenskyy and the US for corruption yet somehow believe Putin got his billions through hard work and keen business skills.
Wut?
Nothing in the piece makes any such a suggestion nor can it reasonably be inferred the authors intended any such a proposition.

If countries aren’t afraid of Russia why does every single one not run by Russian appointed dictator want to cozy up to the US. Literally every single one. Seems strange…

Not when responding to an absurd post about the Monroe Doctrine

quote:Personally, I have found the West's response to be abhorrent. Russia was very clear that the eastern Ukraine region, filled with Russians separatists, were being systematically targeted with fines, seizures of properties, thrown in jail and overall treated as 3rd-class citizens with no voice. These people wanted to enjoy life being left alone and Russia continued to press for changes, and to let the people in the region have a vote on their autonomy. Every reasonable constraint was shown by Russia for many years, all while an iron-fisted pro-NATO leadership continued to clamp down further, with reassurances from the US shadow government that we support the pro-western path. We did everything but send Moe, Larry and Curly to tweak the nose and bonk the head of Putin. He showed incredible restraint against the constant belligerence and bullying of the shadow government. Trump knew the corruption. His attempt to expose it got him impeached. Covid-19 was used, in China, by our shadow government, to create the worldwide pretext to seize back control before Trump could work his way into marginalizing our involvement in Ukraine.
It is possible to believe both sides are awful, corrupt nations and still take the stand that invasions are unacceptable.
As far as I'm concerned, Russia can have Ukraine back. At least the Donbass region along the border that Russia suggested remain an autonomous region. Maybe the whole country. Let them have it. Let them invest in rebuilding it. Let them overrun things, capture the biological lab data and show the world that the USA was ultimately responsible for the Covid-19 pandemic and force the US government to apologize to the world.
Our country is currently being ran by power hungry tyrants, in case you hadn't noticed. Seth Rich was the canary in the cave, the warning to others to not frick with the dark side of politics. There are people working against us who should be publicly hanged for what they have done. The stench of corruption permeates the halls of Congress and we need to clear out the entire mess of our current "leaders" in power.
But we won't. We'll just pass the chips and turn the channel, watch some porn and masturbate, continue to pay taxes and be a good citizen and don't make waves.

Kremlin officials this month dangled the possibility that, if nato did not stop protecting countries close to Russia, Russia might deploy forces to Venezuela and Cuba. Jake Sullivan, the United States’ national security adviser, dismissed such talk as “bluster”. A large-scale deployment is indeed unlikely.

But Ukraine isn’t a member of nato. Why are we intervening?
Posted on 2/18/23 at 10:50 am to HubbaBubba
That is the most absurd nonsense I have ever read.
1. Russia has armed separatists for years.
2. Russia has had troops backing neighboring dictators for years.
3. Russia throws its own people in jail or just murders them all the time for opposing Putin.
4. The US created Covid in a lab in Ukraine? Then shipped it to China to release it? Why? Even the Chinese don’t believe this.
Look if you think the US should mind it’s business that’s fine, but clutching your pearls for Putin and being generally insane isn’t a reasonable debate.

Thanks for the input Rambo but the world is not frozen on it’s axis forever like it is 1985.
Since the end of the Cold War, the United States has by any objective analysis been more of an expansionist military Empire than Russia.

And there are no us forces in Ukraine. The point of the article is Russia is backing a regime that is anti us on the other side of the planet as you portray them as innocent isolationists. Not only do you not read but when forced to your comprehension is poor at best.

Russia’s neighbors would uniformly disagree. Explain that please.
