There was a middle manager at my company in a different department I sort of knew who was recently laid off and had a kid 57 years old.

Imagine your kid is a senior in HS and you’re 74 years old.

I work with a guy that had his first kid in his early 60s. To each their own but the odds aren't in his favor that he'll ever see that kid become an adult.

My friend was born in 1983 and his Dad was a WW2 vet born in 1924.(59)
He had a half sister older than his mom and had neices and nephews 20 years older then him. Actually one of the nephews is a state representative now.

Always thought it was crazy, but that's why I like ww2 so much. I used to talk to his dad all the time about island hopping with the marines.
