The Mad Stork, LB / DE of the old Oakland Raiders' days, said he learned how to "freeze" his forearm pads pre game, making it almost a leathel weapon, from Dobler. According to the S.I. article, Dobler was at his worst in dog piles, eyes in particular were a favorite target.
